Ranch Play Day

Come to Stone Creek Ranch for the day and enjoy a fun, casual way to introduce your horse to cows if he has not seen them before. Participants do not prior experience! This can be instructor led for novices and there will be an explanation at the beginning of each event for everyone.
There are 2 separate activities participants can sign up for.
**Anyone is welcome to join us as a spectator for free! Bring your favorite chair and enjoy the day with us.**
*Break-away Ranch Roping– Instructor led; this event will give you the opportunity to try your hand at roping. No experience needed! This is a non-competitive, fun event geared toward beginners, but all levels are welcome! All ropes will need to have breakaway hondas. You do not have to be entered in the Ranch Play Day to participate in the Ranch Roping. You must have your own rope with a breakaway honda. This is a working cattle/ranch roping event. **It is not a timed, “speed” roping event and we are NOT running cattle through chutes.** We strongly encourage you to familiarize your horse with a rope both on and off your horse prior to the event!
*Ranch Sorting & Obstacles – Teams- You may bring your own team, if you do not have a team, come by yourself and we will pair you up with other individuals. Each team will take a set of calves through a series of obstacles and then return them to the “calf holding area.” Each person usually gets “3 goes” to move cows around. This is very fun and casual.
